Attending an Official Reception Honoring Japan – Vietnam Relations
On the evening of May 2, the representative of Light Comic Studio, Vu Dinh Lan, had the honor of attending an official reception hosted by the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Le Minh Hung, to welcome the Prime Minister of Japan, Sanae Takaichi, along with the Japanese delegation. The event took place at the Government Guest House in Hanoi and marked an important moment in the continued strengthening of bilateral relations between Vietnam and Japan.
(To preserve the memory of this occasion, the experience has been reimagined as a comic page illustrated by Vu Dinh Lan, capturing the atmosphere of the evening through the lens of manga.)

An Honored Invitation and Meaningful Experience
Despite the formal nature of the occasion, the reception was conducted in a warm and engaging atmosphere. The program featured a series of musical performances by both Vietnamese and Japanese artists, reflecting the cultural harmony and mutual appreciation shared between the two nations. The event also provided an opportunity for interaction with distinguished guests from various fields, contributing to a deeper appreciation of the cultural and social significance of the gathering.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam for extending this invitation. Participating in such a meaningful event is both an honor and a valuable experience.
This occasion stands as a strong affirmation of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Japan, highlighting ongoing cooperation not only in economic development but also in cultural and educational exchange.

Comics as a Bridge for Cultural Connection
As a creative team dedicated to storytelling through comics, we believe that Vietnam’s emerging comic industry holds significant potential as a medium for cultural export. Through original works and visual storytelling, comics can serve as a bridge to introduce Vietnamese culture to a global audience, contributing to the growth of tourism, creative industries, and international cultural exchange, much like the success seen in Japan.
